Description
Abstract
The intersection of Mathematics and Computer Science would seem to be both relevant, motivating and (appropriately) challenging for today’s school students. However, Informatics is not finding it easy to attract neither students nor teachers …
The reality is probably that Informatics is perceived as not being in the intersection but rather well outside both disciplines.
This full-day set of three sessions will enable teachers of either Mathematics or Computer Science to change that perception and set up a structure at their school to help students discover and appreciate this much overlooked area of Mathematics and Computer Science.
