Description

This workshop will provide an opportunity for teachers to experience collaborative learning using Office 365 and Windows in the classroom. You will experience specific and real world examples of technology applied to the WA Curriculum and discover how to enhance student development of 21st century skills.

Workshop content:

  • Learn about many features in OneNote to meet diverse learning needs, and simplify everyday tasks for teachers and students
  • Experience the online and blended learning capabilities of Office 365 and Office Mix

 

10:30am – 11:00am       Morning Tea and networking
11.00am – 12.30pm       

Session continued

  • Discover the many ways teachers can extend learning experiences for students beyond the classroom walls using tools like Skype
  • Office 365 collaboration with Groups, Yammer and the Class Notebook. Finding the best way to communicate and collaborate with your classes.
12:30pm – 1:15pm         

Lunch and further networking

Lunch will be provided by AISWA

  • A look at the free tools and resources that Microsoft provides to empower teachers to effectively use technology in their classroom.

A former teacher, Steven now works with Microsoft ANZ, supporting staff at schools and universities in WA to make the most out of Microsoft 365 technologies. His work with schools includes training and consultancy on: Microsoft 365, coding, physical computing, mixed reality, and artificial intelligence (AI) - all the things that help bring digital technologies into the classroom to enhance learning and improve efficiency across all curriculum areas.
