Description

Technology is rapidly transforming education, but technology’s promise presents an obligation to enhance student learning and requires a commitment to a safe and secure digital environment. Charting a path between these is complex — made more so by an endless release of apps, devices and websites, in addition to an ever-changing legal landscape.

  • What targeted strategies are schools putting in place to successfully address the challenges of a changing digital landscape?
  • How does your school measure the impact of their technology programs on student learning?
  • Are your staff, policies and procedures fulfilling your school’s safety and security responsibilities?
  • What is the most efficient way to gather meaningful data on your school's technology programs and report findings to key stakeholders?

BrightBytes, a research-driven, learning analytics company, has partnered with AISWA to offer schools support and an efficient evaluation tool to address these questions. Schools can save time and money by adopting the BrightBytes Clarity platform, measuring and then delivering easy-to-use, customised technology plans that translate complex analyses and cutting-edge research into fast actions to improve student learning.

Technology leaders from all school sectors are invited to attend a breakfast seminar where participants can hear from experienced Clarity users about the real-world application of the platform in their school. AISWA is also pleased to introduce Dr Sandra Elliot, Senior Education Solutions Strategist at BrightBytes, to share the proven analysis frameworks that drive each module of the Clarity platform and demonstrate these in action.

Participants are welcome to stay for a light breakfast and opportunities for networking with AISWA, BrightBytes and school colleagues will be provided after the formal presentation.

AISWA’s BrightBytes Partnership

Under the terms of AISWA’s agreement with BrightBytes, AISWA has negotiated special member school pricing for the “Technology and Learning” and “Digital Privacy, Safety and Security” Clarity modules and will provide Level 1 technical and data analysis support to participating schools.

Technology and Learning Module

The BrightBytes Technology & Learning module enables educational leaders to increase the value of their school by improving the impact of technology initiatives on student learning. With the Technology & Learning module, schools can better support the professional development of their teachers while better preparing students for university and career.

Supported by a research-based framework called CASE, the Technology & Learning module provides transparency into the availability of existing technology resources within schools and their actual impact on learning through the domains of Classroom, Access, Skills and Environment.

Digital Privacy, Security and Safety Module

BrightBytes, in partnership with iKeepSafeTM, is helping educators meet the challenges of maintaining a safe and secure digital environment. The Digital Privacy, Safety and Security module helps organisations find the right balance between creating authentic, innovative learning experiences and fulfilling safety and security responsibilities.

More information is available to AISWA member schools in the BrightBytes section of the AISWA’s website’s Member Portal.
