Kate Mullin Educator Award Flyer
The Kate Mullin Award has been created in memory of Kate Mullin, a passionate and visionary EALD consultant who made significant improvements in the teaching of Indigenous literacy in Western Australia. This award aims to recognise and celebrate educators who demonstrate excellence in the teaching of English to Aboriginal students, whose first language may be Aboriginal English, an Aboriginal Language or a creole such as the Kimberley Kriol. The educator can self-nominate or be nominated by a line-manager, colleague, student or community member. For more information, please click Here
University of Western Australia (UWA) Wallal Expedition Centenary: Book your school excursions | 20 September - 2 October 2022
In September 2022, UWA is celebrating the centenary of the Wallal eclipse expedition – the iconic event that proved Einstein’s theory of relativity. This is a story of science, sailing ships, surf and donkeys, and innovative ideas that changed our understanding of space, time and gravity.
As part of the centenary celebrations, UWA is offering a series of free STEM talks and workshops designed for school students from Years 3 to 12. The events are free to attend and the topics range from black holes to quantum computers. For more information please click Here
