Teacher Professional Development Program | Success for Students with ADHD

ADHD WA has been supporting individuals and families in WA for almost 30 years. They work closely with ADHD specialists to provide services that inform, support, and advocate for people affected by learning and attentional disorders in Western Australia. Using Data Loggers in Secondary Science

The Science Teachers’ Association of Western Australia (STAWA) offers three workshops on using data loggers in secondary science. The workshops explore the use of vernier data loggers in high school physics, chemistry, and biology. These classes provide an excellent approach to collecting data related to experiments in the WA curriculum. Classes start on Monday 11 April 2022. Click here to register. Australian Children’s Laureate 2022-2023 – Gabrielle Wang

Recently the new Australian Children’s Laureate was announced for 2022-2023. Gabrielle Wang is an author and illustrator born in Melbourne of Chinese heritage. Her stories are a blend of Chinese and Western culture with a touch of fantasy. Check out the ACLF website each month for new activities to inspire children’s imagination through writing and drawing! Make Your Own Story Book Competition

The Make Your Own Story Book Competition is open for 2022! ​The Competition is held annually and attracts entries from young people statewide. It includes categories for picture books and story books. Winners will be announced at an Award Ceremony in October 2021. This competition is open to all WA students from Pre Primary to Year 8 and has spawned some talented writers over the many years it has been running, including Shaun Tan, James Foley and Briony Stewart.
