Public Forum – A Discussion on WA's New Intimate Image Laws

Parents and other members of the public are invited to a free community forum to discuss the Criminal Law Amendment (Intimate Images) Act 2019, which will come into effect on 15 April 2019. The laws target the circulation of intimate content sometimes referred to as ‘revenge porn’. Once the law comes into effect, it will make the non-consensual distribution of intimate images a crime. There will be a presentation on this issue by the A/Commissioner for Victims of Crime, and representatives from the Office of the eSafety Commissioner, Legal Aid and the WA Police Force, followed by the opportunity for questions.
The forum will be held at the State Library of Western Australia (25 Francis Street, in the Perth Cultural Centre) on 3 April 2019 from 5.30pm – 7.30pm. (Bookings are essential as seats are limited.)  Please RSVP by 12pm, 3 April 2019  Please call 9264 9877 for more information or please click Here
