On Board with MindMatters - Guest speaker Jason van Schie - Perth WA
“On Board” with Mindmatters event at Technology Park Function Centre, 2 Brodie Hall Drive Bentley, WA 6102. Refreshments and networking commence at 3:45, for 4.15 pm start, followed by a hands on MindMatters module showcase where you can experience a MindMatters module and find out how to get started. Hoists, Slings and Standing Transfer Aids Workshop
An interactive and hands on workshop where participants will explore a variety of transfer aids and discuss their application with clients in a range of acute, community and residential care settings. Please head to the Independent Living Centre WA website to register your interest.
Peer Support Implementation Workshop
Attending a Peer Support Implementation Workshop is the essential first step to getting The Peer Support Program up and running at your school. It is an interactive, enjoyable, full day of professional learning which provides teachers with the tools to coordinate an effective Peer Support Program and confidently train their Peer Leaders. At least one teacher from each school must be trained at an Implementation Workshop, however we recommend that two teachers attend training.

The Leeuwin ship runs a leavers week trip 21 – 27 November. STS Leeuwin II is Western Australia’s own tall ship, a 3-masted 1850’s barquentine.
