Making Judgements Using Progress Maps:
This is an online resource to assist teachers in understanding the Progress Maps and determining students' achievement in relation to them.
It is a project in development.
The scope of the project
This is a resource for teachers to assist them with the process of judging student achievement of outcomes in a way that is consistent and reliable. It includes:
- An indication of what changes between levels and a set of indicators of student achievement at each level
- Evidence of achievement illustrated by annotated student work samples
- Some advice on the process of making judgements.
The focus of the project is on achievement on the outcomes for Levels 2-6.
Resource Groups
For each Learning Area, the project is being developed by a Resource Group of teachers who meet to consider one outcome at a time. The work samples have been provided by and discussed by that team of teachers.
If you would like to be involved in one of the Resource groups, please contact me at mnewhouse@ais.wa.edu.au.
Indicator Charts
If you want to use the indicator charts in Word, first save the file to your own directory. Then open the file as a Word document to edit it.
Work Samples
If you have any difficulty in downloading the files of work samples please contact me and I can send you copies of the relevant samples on CD.
