MCEETYA Data Collection
To date a number of information sessions have been held regarding the collection of data as prescribed by the Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs (MCEETYA). To assist with this task, Sample Data Collection forms can be found on the AISWA web site http://www.ais.wa.edu.au. Also on this web site is a letter from Audrey Jackson, Executive Director of AISWA, to parents of students at AISWA schools which can be used to support schools in gathering the data.
The timeframe for data collection and return to AISWA is:
- March/April: Collection of data from parent(s) using Sample Data Collection forms from AISWA?s website
- April: Data collection software developed by AISWA will become available to all schools (use of this tool is optional)
- April/May: Data entry into AISWA software or school based management system (such as Maze)
- May: Forwarding of data to AISWA
It is expected that the Access tool and the deployment of the dedicated server will be the week commencing 4th April. Updates on these will occur as this happens. From this point schools can submit their data files. It is hoped that all schools will be able to have their data files to us by Friday 27th May.
To assist schools with this process Keva Crouch has been appointed as Project Coordinator. Keva?s role is to liaise with schools to ensure that the collection of data and its return to AISWA runs smoothly. All contact regarding Data Collection will now be handled by Keva. Her contact details are kcrouch@ais.wa.edu.au or 9244 2788 (ext 114).
Manjitha DeAlwis can be contacted regarding technical queries mdealwis@ais.wa.edu.au or 2944 2788 (ext 115).
A repeat of the Data Collection Information Sessions will be held at AISWA on Thursday 24th March, 10am-2am. Any school Principal or administrator who has not attended an information session is urged to do so.
